Introduced by her philosophy teacher to the Indian Though, Emilie has been deeply moved by the perception of life brought by Indian texts.
Inspired, she started to seek guidance on the Path of Yoga under the teaching of advanced practitioners of Jivamukti, Hatha, Vinyasa Yoga in different part of the world.
In 2010, she had her first experience of Ashtanga Yoga in India, that soon became the daily practice she dedicated herself to.
In 2017, Emilie completed an 18 months Yoga Teacher Training in Hatha and Therapeutic Vinyasa and also graduated as an Ayurvedic Practitioner after 4 years of studies.
Emilie sees Yoga as the most powerful path towards the understanding of the mind’s activities but also as the practice leading to its clarity. For her, the practice is a metaphor of life, that allows over time to observe our inner patterns and obstacles, to eventually overcome them.
As healing and transformation cannot happen without the involvement of the mind, Emilie is currently deepening her studies in India with a Post Graduate Diploma on Yoga Therapy to combine the therapeutic application of Yoga and Ayurveda in her practice and teaching.
Emilie’s classes are a blend of Classical Yoga and Therapeutic Yoga in the lineage of Krishnamacharya, where she offers modifications and variations of the asanas in order for each student to benefit from the function of the pose, without attachment for its
Pranayama and the connection between breath, movement and mind are always a central focus of the practice.
Emilie also likes to share some wisdom of Yoga and Ayurvedic scriptures as references to reflect upon.
